A Florida native, Sylvia Connor began a banking career in 1966.  In 1972, after moving to Key West, Fl, she trained in the mortgage department of the only savings & loan in all of the keys and was exposed to all facets of mortgage lending.  In 1977, Sylvia moved to Naples, Fl and continued in the mortgage industry at Naples Federal Savings & Loan. In 1982,  Sylvia was elected President of the Mortgage Loan Officers Society District II South, serving from Sarasota down to Marco Island. Opening her own company in 1990, she closed Prestige Mortgage Co. in June, 2008.  When considering mortgage career opportunities at various local institutions, TIB Bank was the institution of choice.  The fact that TIB is locally owned and has a reputation of community involvement was the predominant factor.  Sylvia is currently a member of the Bonita-Estero Board of Realtors  Women’s Council of Realtors – Bonita/Estero, the Estero Chamber of Commerce.
